In 2024, Ukrainians paid personal income tax (PIT) and corporate income tax (CIT) to the Polish state budget for almost PLN 1.65 billion ($414 million). The analytical center of the international employment company Gremi Personal provided these data, referencing the Ministry of Finance of Poland.
This is 27.7% more than last year when revenues amounted to just over 1 billion zlotys ($238 million), and twice as much as in 2022 when the amount was 803 million zlotys ($180 million). The share of Ukrainians in total tax revenues from foreigners (PIT+CIT) in 2024 amounted to 33.7%.
Total revenues to the Polish budget from foreigners grew at the following rates:
- 2022 – over 4.1 billion zlotys ($919 million);
- 2023 – 3.61 billion ($860 million);
- 2024 – 4.89 billion ($1.26 billion).
In 2024, the minimum gross wage in Poland increased to 4300 PLN ($1040). This means that employees receive more money after taxes, and employers pay more for employees as the cost of employing them increases. In 2025, the minimum wage increased again to 4666 PLN ($1129). This also affected the overall level of tax revenues.
Another critical factor is Poland’s growing number of registered Ukrainian entrepreneurs (JDG). With 774 thousand people, Ukrainian citizens currently constitute the largest group of foreign workers in Poland.
