German energy company Notus Energy plans to build a large wind farm near Kyiv. The company has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Makarivska community in the Kyiv region, where a wind farm with a capacity of about 400 MW will be built. The head of the community, Vadym Tokar, reported this on Telegram.
According to him, the location was chosen due to “the best wind conditions in the region.” The project involves the installation of approximately 60 turbines and is positioned as one of the largest in the region.
The construction and further operation of the wind farm are expected to create new jobs, attract investments in infrastructure, and strengthen the community’s energy independence through “green” generation.
Notus Energy is a large German company that operates wind farms with a total capacity of 1.64 GW worldwide. Last year, the company already announced plans to build a 300 MW wind farm in the Odesa region.
