American billionaire Elon Musk has confirmed that he will “never turn off” Starlink satellite communication terminals for Ukraine.
He wrote about this on his social network X.
“To be very clear, regardless of how much I disagree with the policy towards Ukraine, Starlink will never turn off its terminals,” Musk emphasized.
He added, “We would never do that and use that as a bargaining chip.” However, he went on to argue that without Starlink, the frontline in Ukraine “would collapse because the Russians can jam all other communications.”
The Starlink satellite Internet network is owned by SpaceX, a company founded by Elon Musk.
Before Musk’s post, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that “no one threatened to disconnect Ukraine” from Starlink, which helps the Ukrainian military fight the Russian occupiers.
