The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on the launch of the pilot project eFood — the Unified State Electronic System in the Field of Food Safety and Consumer Protection. The initiative is designed to radically change the approach to service delivery in food safety and consumer protection, making it transparent, digital, and convenient for businesses and citizens. This is stated in a message on the Government Portal.
The launch of the eFood system is directly related to Ukraine’s international obligations. The reform is being implemented in accordance with the Association Agreement with the EU and key European Union regulations in the field of food safety and official control.
This is not only a technical update, but also a full integration into the European model, where product traceability, risk management, and digital data exchange are key.
In the future, the system will unite up to 17 registers and allow providing over 500,000 services annually.
