Ukrainian film festival to be held in Poland in October

The documentary To Die to Live (“The Iron Hundred”) by director Yulia Hontaruk will be presented in the non-competitive section of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

The film “The Iron Hundred” tells the stories of three Ukrainian volunteers – Shakhta, Tantsyurist and Honchar, who in 2014 joined the defense of Ukraine without military experience. After two years at the front, they tried to return to peaceful life. Still, after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022, they again joined the ranks of the defenders. The film was shot over a period of 12 years.

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF) is one of the oldest and most prestigious A-list film festivals in the world, held annually in July in the spa town of Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic). This year it will be held from July 3 to 11.
