Canada will provide military support to Ukraine

During the 20th meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Rammstein format, Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair announced more than $28.5 million for the Czech Republic’s initiative to purchase large-caliber ammunition for Ukraine. The Czech Republic found about 800,000 shells, but additional funding is needed for their transfer. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Canada reports that these means will also be sent to deliver thousands of artillery shells.

Blair also said that Canadian defense company Twenty20 Insight Inc. will provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with night vision devices worth more than $5.3 million.

In addition, Canada joined the Drone Coalition for Ukraine, which Latvia and Great Britain led. It unites UDCG members working on increasing drone production with the common goal of delivering one million drones to Ukraine.
