Los Angeles Fashion Week took place on March 22-24. Ukrainian designers also had the opportunity to showcase their collections. In particular, the designer brought to LA Fashion Week a new collection of his sustainable fashion brand RDNT called “Open Your Eyes,” Fashion 24 writes. It was first presented at Paris Fashion Week, and he made a new, adapted version for the American public.
The designer has retained the collection’s central core — ultra-functional, minimalistic, and stylish items. The use of eco-materials, such as organic cotton and recycled polyester, not only added to the collection’s visual style but also raised the issues of eco-consciousness and “ethical fashion,” which are very relevant in the global fashion industry.
An essential element of Andre Tan’s show was, as the designer himself put it, “a reminder to Americans about the war in Ukraine.” Before the show, the guests watched a special mini-movie prepared by the designer’s team. In it, the audience could see what a beautiful country Ukraine is and what is happening to it now, during Russia’s full-scale invasion.
