American company Bell Helicopter, part of Textron Corporation and manufacturer of modern military helicopters, including the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom, is considering investing in production in Ukraine. This was announced by Oleksiy Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.
“The company is already planning to invest and manufacture in Ukraine. We, as the government, are ready to support the initiative with effective tools for investors,” he said.
According to him, the next stage, involving technical consultations and assessments, is ahead. Still, the project itself is viewed as a new milestone in the development of the defense-industrial partnership between Ukraine and the United States.
The government expects concrete results shortly. Bell Helicopter’s initiative could significantly strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and stimulate the development of high-tech production in the country, even in wartime.
