Soldier Roman, with the call sign “Hulk” from the BULAVA unit, shot down two Russian Shahed drones. However, he was 500 kilometers away from them. This is a world record.
This was reported by Wild Hornets, which produces interceptors.
According to them, the Hornet Vision Ctrl technology was used for the attack. It allows you to control the interceptor drone from a very long distance via a remote control system. The company says this is the first such case in the world: the operator was hundreds of kilometers away but still managed to destroy two Shaheds at once.
The developers also add that the technology has only recently begun to be tested in combat conditions. It should expand the crews’ work area to approximately 100 kilometers, up from 20 kilometers as before.
