Yuriy Kuleshkov, a professor at the Central Ukrainian National Technical University (CNU), became the silver medalist at the international veterans’ judo tournament.
The large-scale veterans’ tournament, organized by the Koi Judo club in collaboration with the Valencian and Spanish judo federations, was held in Castellón.
More than 100 athletes from various regions of Spain, as well as representatives from France, Andorra, and Ukraine, gathered on the tatami.
Ukraine was represented at the tournament by Yuriy Kuleshkov, a professor at the Department of Operation and Repair of Machines at CNU (Kropyvnytskyi).
He performed in the 70–74-year age category and the weight category up to 73 kg. The professor became one of the oldest participants in the competition, demonstrating high technique, endurance, and sportsmanship.
As a result, he won a silver medal.
