A 14-year-old schoolgirl, Olga Tovstukha, has set a record for Ukraine by becoming the youngest Ukrainian to confirm her English language proficiency at the C1 level according to the IELTS scale.
Olga is a student of Chernivtsi Lyceum No. 9 and, in addition to English, studies three other foreign languages: French, Spanish and German.
Previously, the record was held by Diana Burdeina, an 11th grade student from Chernivtsi region, who also confirmed her C1 level of English.
Lana Vetrova, head of the National Register of Records of Ukraine, noted that such achievements demonstrate the high level of education among Ukrainians.
