The Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine intercepted a Shahed attack drone for the first time, using an interceptor drone launched from an unmanned surface platform.
These are operators of the unmanned surface complexes division of the 412th Nemesis brigade, who perform combat missions in the maritime operational zone. It was this unit that carried out the effective interception.
The Unmanned Systems Forces note that such an application combines maritime and air unmanned capabilities. The use of surface platforms as launch platforms for interceptor drones expands the capabilities for countering air targets.
